KEITH MILLEN LOST FOR THE SEASON!

05/01/08- The Killingworth Guppies have taken another hit this season with the announcement that Keith Millen, the Guppies leading scorer, has been lost for the season. Reports out of Killingworth are that Millen was rushed to Hartford Hospital at 5am this morning with an upset stomach. Upon review by the hospital medical staff, Millen was rushed into surgery where he had is appendix removed.

The Guppies front office has confirmed that Millen had surgery this morning but refused to confirm the reports that it was his appendix that was removed.  Guppies Spokesman Shasta McNasty stated the following "Keith (Millen) was in good condition and is doing well after having surgery this morning."  he continued "He's expected to miss the remainder of the season but will make a full recovery".  When asked if this season was lost, considering the Guppies record and the fact that the fish have lost their top scorer, McNasty replied "We never say die in Killingworth! I'm confident that not only will we make the playoffs but I'm sure we'll make a push for our 10th League Championship."

Guppies Captain Brian Kelly was shocked by the news "Obviously, I'm glad to hear Keith is doing well! There is no doubt Millen will be missed and hopefully he gets back into the lineup sooner than later".

The Guppies play  twice next week, Tuesday vs the Ball Smashers and Wednesday vs the Fire Ants.

With Millen out, questions are sure to arise on what the Guppies line up changes will be if any? This past game, the Guppies had moved forward Brian Mulcahy to defense and moved Kelly up to offense. When asked what his plans are for the line up in this weeks games Kelly stated "I have no clue"? One thing is for certain, without Millen on the roster the Guppies season has gotten a lot tougher!
